CERTIFICATION The Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT) announced that MDLAND’s product, MDLAND’s Electronic Health Record and Practice Management Systems (8.0), is CCHIT Certified, and meets the CCHIT ambulatory Electronic Health Record (EHR) criteria. Ambulatory EHRs are designed for physician offices and clinics where most Americans receive healthcare. CCHIT is a Recognized Certification Body in the United States for certifying health information technology products – an independent, nonprofit organization that sets the benchmark for EHRs. (04/30/2007) MDLAND OFFERS FREE NPI CAPABILITIES TO ALL ITS CUSTOMERS MDLAND now offers NPI capabilities to all its customers. The NPI number will replace only your PIN number and you will be required to use an NPI number as of May 23, 2007. As of January 2, 2007, payers will now be accepting the revised CMS-1500 (08/05) form. On April 2, 2007, the current form, CMS-1500 (12/90), will be discontinued. Between January 2nd, 2007 and March 30th, 2007 providers are able to use either of these CMS-1500 forms (12/90 or 08/05 versions). The NPI upgrade is free to all MDLAND customers. MDLAND also provides free NPI and system consultation service during the NPI transition period. (03/15/2007) MDLAND PROVIDES FREE 2007 CPT, ICD CODES AND MEDICARE FEE SCHEDULE TO ALL ITS CUSTOMERS MDLAND is pleased to provide a free upgrade of the entire 2007 CPT code, as well as Medicare fee schedules to its customers. This upgrade also includes both CPT, HCPCS and modifier codes. A similar free upgrade to the 2007 ICD codes took place on Oct. 1, 2006. No software upgrade is required. (01/02/2007) |
